How to schedule repeating birthday posts on Facebook

This post goes over how to schedule repeating birthday posts on Facebook.

Before August 2018, you could schedule posts on personal Facebook profiles using a scheduling tool.

However, on August 1st, 2018, Facebook made an update to their API, removing the ability for 3rd-party scheduling tools to schedule Facebook posts to personal profiles.

This means it is no longer possible to schedule Facebook posts on a personal profile.

However, if you are looking to schedule birthday posts that repeat each year from a Facebook Page or Facebook Group that you run, here is how you can do that:

Once your post is ready, choose whether you want to have it post once, or repeat automatically each year.

Then you can either post it now, or schedule for a date in the future. That’s it.

For example, if your post is scheduled for November 15th, 2020, set to repeat every year, that means after it’s published, it will get rescheduled for November 15th 2021, and continue indefinitely until you choose to stop it.
